I started looking for a small compact that can get about 30 MPG. I am tire of filling my SUV with $70 worth of gas every week.

My cousin drives a Yukon and it is a gas guzzler! I drive Camry and its me about 47 bucks to fill up and it gets about 26 miles in town I believe. So, my Camry is economical, but my Jeep Wrangler is not! It’s fun to drive my Jeep, but I’m not laughing when I have to go fill up. I’m thinking of training my Jeep in for a hybrid. Maybe a Malibu, LTZ which gets 22 miles in town and 30 on the highway.
I’m looking into a smaller car as well. I already take the trolley and buses during the week, but on the weekends when I need to run errands or go to the beach I want to not waste half a tank on one trip. It’s frustrating and it seems we aren’t getting any kind of relief from the high gas prices. I like the idea of getting a hybrid, but I’ll settle for a anything at this point. I sure wish I lived in an area where I could feel safe to ride a bicycle. Southern California just isn’t safe.

I was looking at a Kia or a Suzuki. I think if I get something like 20+ city and 30+ highway, I am happy.
